I figured the best way to gain experience while studying for my Bachelor’s degree was to open my own agency. By the time I graduated, both theory and practice were down pat.
I have over 20 years of marketing and sales experience, with a Bachelor's Degree in Strategic Management and a specialisation in Marketing. It hasn't been just big picture things, from Adobe Creative Suite to Social Media Management and Advertising, eCommerce, and web development to HubSpot, I've been involved at every level.
As part of the Verde Group NZ team, I helped the business achieve several awards in business development, business growth, and excellence in marketing with both their On-premise and SaaS ERP business solutions (Oracle NetSuite and MYOB). I am also an associate member of the Institute of Directors New Zealand.
Prior to joining the Verde team as Head of Marketing, I managed a marketing agency specialising in working with independent colleges marketing vocational education and supporting small businesses by developing and then rolling out a marketing strategy in support of their development goals.
I'm incredibly proud of my decade of experience working with the leading UK-based qualifications agency City & Guilds International, benefiting from mentoring and inspiration from quality leaders who have shaped my career. From my passion for marketing, I have also fostered a love and talent for sales, so I now relish the business development aspect of my work.
The constant innovation, transformation, and development within marketing keep me engaged, challenged, and rewarded. I enjoy client engagement and the satisfaction of identifying opportunities for improvement. Recognising that my success rests on my customers' success, I put my customers first and build long-lasting relationships.
When I’m not making magic at my desk, you’re likely to find me outside coaching hockey, running, hiking, skiing, or on the water.
